Horn Operation

henno2000 Posts: 177 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have successfully setup the horn to activate various sounds depending upon particular alarms. I have had to place a 'mute' button on the screen because the alarm still sounds after the message has been reset. Is there anyway to automatically acknowledge the alarm and therefore, stop the sounder from sounding? Also, I am wanting an 'operation' sounder to sound when a particular tag becomes active, and to stop sounding when the tag is deactivated. Could someone please advise how to do this? ABN Posts: 212 Rating: (12)	hi Henno, What is the system you are using? If PCS7 then you can use horn editor functionality directly and horn ack button in Runtime to ack horn.

We will acknowledge the horn using the following script in c action u have to do the following steps 1. create a button 2.Write the script in c action *settagbit("@local::@horn reset",0) or settagbit("@horn reset",0)* Iused this in wincc6.2... For furthur more details u have to search in forum of this tag "HORN ALARM ACKNOWLEDGEMENT"

henno2000 Posts: 177 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the information. I am not sure if this fully solves my problem. I have have already implemented the group acknowledgement button. Without pressing this, the alarms continue to sound until they have been manually acknowledged. (Even after the alarm has gone low). I am wanting an alarm to sound for particular conditions and automatically acknowledge itself when the alarm is not present. Regards, henno2000
