Integration PCS 7 (Simatic BATCH) with external MES

Can you please first confirm this is possible by using the OPC-UA server built-in within PCS7? And secondly, can you please provide details on how to configure it, limitations, recommendations or things to watch out for? Thanks in advance for your help, Antoine

ashadako Bronze Member Joined: 8/1/2019 Last visit: 9/1/2025 Posts: 304 Rating: (3)	Yeah, it's possible. SIMATIC HMI WinCC V7.5 WinCC Information System Checkout the sections 4.2 and 4.3. Basically, you can configure the WinCC Server as an OPC Server. OPC Tags can be created in the WinCC explorer under Tag Management. And then all the OPC Tags that you created can be read/written from a third-party system, such as MES. Batch has an interface to third-party systems too, check Batch COM API.
