Thanks for the explanations SSA with class 2 master.

One point is still not clear for me even if this thread is quite old, but i am facing this situation right now.

If I have Simatic PDM (class 2 master) connected to a PLC 1517 Profinet interface, so the PLC is working as a S7 Datasetgateway, is it then possible to use SSA function for chaning the DP address of the underneath laying PA Slaves (there is a CM1542 and DP/PA Coupler connected also) or is it then blocked, because the route is going through the class 1 master (PLC)?

At the moment we can read online values via PDM but we cannot change the DP address.

Would really appreciate a clear answer to this to sort the problem soon.
