Is necessary update the firmware when upgrade to PCS7 V9.1 SP1?

Hi, Siemens (and I) recommend updating the firmware to the latest version whenever possible. Firmware can increase security of your program, or fix bugs. You can take a look at the firmware update page to see if new versions are available and the things that are changed/fixed. For your CPU, you are using the latest version.
