I am trying to make sense of a V9.1 SP2 UC07 project I inherited from another engineer. In the project, I have a folder under Graphics Designer labelled "Custom_@PDL". You can see this folder in the list beside "NoteView", and "PCS7CustomPictures" folders. If I delete this folder, it regenerates once OS project editor is run. The folder contains a set of customized @alarmsummaries.

Per my testing, it appears this folder is nothing more than a storage container for backup of customized @screens, and have no functional impact. I have searched high and low through all the manuals, forums, etc.. to see if I am missing something here, but I can't find any details.

Can someone please advise if this is a custom created folder, and if so, why would it be regenerated by running OS project editor? Otherwise, if this is part of the product, can someone please clarify its purpose?

I made sense of this configuration. This was a custom created folder, which is allowed by PCS7 within Graphics Design to store any backups/custom graphics that may be needed for future reference. This folder has no direct function other than being a storage location. I was actually wrong in stating that OS Project Editor recreates this folder (it does not), rather the editor will recreate the folders NoteView and PCS7CustomPictures (if they are manually deleted), as those are part of PCS7 as of V8.1. 

Per PCS7 Operation Station Configuration Manual, page 152, any customized pictures or @screens should by default be placed into PCS7CustomPictures, just for sake of having a standard storage location. In my case I was able to successfully delete Custom_@PDL, and place all the custom pictures inside PCS7CustomPictures folder with success.
