Hello, P = U x I 1W = 1V x 1A = 1VA = 1W 1kVA = 1000 x VA = 1000 x W = 1kW regards |

S = 1 VA= Apparent Power [VA]= 1V * 1A P = 1 Watt = Active power [Watt] = Apparent power * Cos (Phi) While "Cos (Phi)" = PF "Power factor" Q = 1 VAr = Reactive power [VAr]= Apparent power * Sin (Phi) In most cases (most governments) apply penalities for bad power factor. For avoid these penaities, you have to improve the power factor. AttachmentPFC.pdf (417 Downloads) |
