I am having trouble installing SP8 and 9 over my existing installation in Windows XP

I have tried SP8 and SP9 but both say they can't find my installation, then when I point it to the directory is says either it's not a valid file or it is up to date.

I have V4.0.1.10 installed. Do I have to run earlier service packs for SP8 and 9 to install? If so where are they.

Perhaps the following link might help:

STEP7 MicroWIN V4.0 SP8 and SP9

Programs created with earlier MicroWIN versions can be opened and further processed without any restrictions.
Projects created with the new Service Packs can be neither opened nor processed with older versions.

I followed all those instructions

 "Still unable to to locate a valid executable for update, or current version already installed. Installation aborted."

If you cannot find a valid executable file for the upgrade, you must select the directory containing your previous version of MicroWin or MicroDoc. this is a mistake. I programmed the computer, the old one was deleted. What can I do; how can i help
