krisson211 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I want to controll flowrate of a belt weight feeder with PLC s7 1200 1212C by controll speed of conveyor through inverter V20 . But i'm in trouble now 1. When I use PID compac i convert the Flowrate(kg/s) setpoint to Speed(m/s),and the input is speed value too So what will i recieve in output : speed value(m/s), or percentage value(%). 2. I intended to use AO in PLC to send setpoint to AI in V20. Should I convert the output in PID compac to percentage of frequency before send to V20.

krisson211 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Thanks you TechTeam, I mean the PID_Compact in Tia Portal, not in simanics V20. I still don't know exactly the output value if I set in controller type Velocity (m/s) so the setpoint and input must be Velocity (m/s) but what about the output. Is it Velocity (m/s) or percentage (%) ?

Then you get a setpoint, depending on the gain and control difference. Please do a test with fix values (actual value and set value) on the PLC with the function block. The setpoint must be converted in a percent value (4000 hex = 100% see P2000). You can check the speed setpoint on drive side, to check your logic.
