trannhan8x Advanced Member Joined: 4/1/2012 Last visit: 12/16/2020 Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, I have a PLC S71200 CPU1212C V3.0.2 6ES7212-1BE31-0XB0, when power on this PLC the run/stop ledorangelight and MANT led orange flashing. I try to RUN PLC though TIA V13 but failure. I insert SIMATIC MEMORY CARD 24MB to plot on this PLC and This PLC can RUN normally. I withdraw memory card, then RUN again but it also failure. SO what happen with my PLC

If yes, go online first and reset the CPU to factory settings. After that check the diagnostic buffer. If possible attach it here to us.

At that stage the MMC card used for the firmware upgrade needed to be removed. The PLC requested to be reloaded with the hardware configuration. Thereafter (42/50) the PLC complains about an unformatted MMC card that can not be used. Then later on.. 37 of 50; Event ID: 16# 02:4175 CPU error: Memory card evaluation error: Memory card not accepted or cannot be mounted current card type: Unformatted memory card Function finished/aborted, new startup inhibit set: .. - Memory card missing, wrong type, wrong content or protected. My assumption is that the PLC might need to send data to the MMC card but the card that is in there can not be read.. it is not correctly formatted. w

I could not even download hardware configuration. by the way my CPU is 6ES7-1HG31-0xb0 FW 3.0.1 Thanks (very nice forum name you have chosen!) * Which size MMC card do you have? * What is loaded on the MMC card? * Did you remove the MMC card before doing a factory reset? * Can you read the diagnostic buffer?.. could you upload as TXT. The quickest way to resolve this problem, is for you to come in contact with the Siemens partner near you. Hopefully he has a blank MMC card to clear your PLC or reload the firmware. A friend to the forum (huggy_d1) reported that he has had issues with MMC cards before.. the problem was that the contacts of the MMC reader in the PLC did not make good contact with the card. He bent the contacts a little to better the contact. It is a delicate process to be done with proper tools and magnification. w

If this PLC has 2 profinet ports, try the other port. If that works, check the pins with a bright light and magnifying lens. I used my phone's camera zoomed in.
