You are correct.  Hardware datatypes change periodically - and I am not at all sure why.  I suppose it allows for a more comprehensive compiler process.  However, you can always use HW_ANY when you are unsure what datatype to use when representing hardware addresses and the associated system constants (rather than hard-coded values which can change from project to project, but a Conveyor_1_CU240_1_Telegram_1 system constant (or something similar) will always produce the expected value.

I have found the solution myself, I had to change variables from Word to Uint in the definition and that fixed compiled problem.

Since this example is downloaded from the SIOS, I can conclude that expected data types for HW... have been changed from V13 SP1 to V14 SP1.
