Randomly Losing RT License

Fraz Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi Guys, Im a currently using WInCC V6.0 SP3for a number of different projects and am having random issues with losing the RT License. Origionally i thought this wascaused by the computer not being powered down in the correct way, soifitted UPS's to all computers to make sure that the computer powers down in a controlled manner. However ihave just been informed that another license has been lost. The problem seems to happening at random, with no other obvious causes. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there any help or information that anyone can give me? Thanks

TomDeWou Platinum Member Joined: 11/15/2006 Last visit: 3/26/2025 Posts: 1319 Rating: (176)	Hi, I suggest checking windows eventlogs if something happened to the system or was done by a user as checking disc or defragementation. Those actions can cause harm to a license. Additional to that verify that the PC is shut down correctly via ups and that it powers off when PC has really shut down - I have seen cases where the PC hang on shutdown because an application hang. The UPS shut down after a few minutes, but PC was still running.
