Saving data from DB's to a csv file using WinCCflex

B-rad Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could give me step by step instructions to save the values from tags in a DB to a .csv file once a day only. I can get the data to save cyclically, but I cant seem to get the 'on-demand' setting working.[:cry:] B-rad

B-rad Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi wizard thanks for the reply. I have triggered the logging usinga simple pushbutton on the touchpanel. This uses the logtag function to log 16 (because its the max) tags to the csv file. I have just checked my card and it seems to have worked. The funny thing is... I have one tag that logs itself every second. I dont want this, but if i remove this cyclic logging and change it to 'on demand', none of the tags log when I press the button. At the moment, I have a huge list of logs in my csv file and have to sort through the cyclic tag logs until I get the ones that I want. brad

When I simulate it with WinCC flexible it works just fine. Perhaps you can try the following: Use a tag, and define a function When value changes you log the tags. Make an input field and attach the above tag. Now change the value off the tag. Best regards, Wizard

B-rad Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hey wizard. I found something really strange. When after removing the cyclic logging of one particular tag, it still logged itself at those intervals anyway. I ended up removing all logs, deleting the tag that was creating the problem and starting again. This worked as per all of the instructions that I have read. Something must of happened internally and it wouldnt change. I have fixed it all up and its working great. Now I just need to know how I can log some other tags at a particular time of the day everyday. Do you know how to do this? B-rad
