Your license of V15.1 is only backwards compatible. To use V16, you need to upgrade you license to newer version.

Yes, you need to pay to upgrade to V16. Best to pay for an upgrade to V20 even if you “only” use V16. Do the cost comparisons. Have a look at the ‘rental’ options if this better suits your needs for the moment.
