Please also see the attached screenshots. I have installed a WinCC 7.5 SP1 Upd.3 on a windows 10 machine. The machine is on our factory domain. It has been given the correct IP address and a (local) user which is the same and has the same PW as the logged in user on the PG/PC (Engineering Station). A WinCC folder has been created and shared with the user on the new Win 10 WinCC machine. I have connected the PG/PC and the new WinCC server with a crossed cable. I can ping the new machine and I can see it with Simatic Shell on the PG/PC.. But when I want to open a folder om the new WinCC server from the PG/PC I get the error show on the screenshots and I also get that error when I try to browse to the "Path to the Target OS Computer" What am I missing to get the full connection as if both the WinC server and the PG/PC was on a switch and being able to download to it? Hello xmnj If you cannot see the server when browsing the network, then it is not publishing itself on the network. You have either not told it (Windows) to publish it, or the service "Function Discovery Resource Publication" is not running. Enter the command "services.msc" and look for this service in the list and start it. Set it to Automatic. It is normally set to Manual but will start up anyway. This is the service that publishes your computer on the network. Regards |

Hello Michael K Thank for for answering. Starting these services and setting them to automatic has enabled me to "browse" my way to the path of the project on the server - and to do both a full as well as a partial download. I assumed I had to start "Function Discovery Provider Host" also since the description of this service indicates that it is a host of the "Function Discovery Resource Publication"?
