If it is not equal to ‘’ or to ‘DefaultUser’, you should display log in, otherwise log out. The login popup can be called with system function ‘ShowLoginDialog’. Logging out can be done with system function ‘LogOff’.

I tried to make a function that opens the login window if no one is logged in, and logs out otherwise. I try the function: let user = Tags('@UserName').Read(); if(user === " ") { HMIRuntime.UI.UserManagement.SysFct.ShowLoginDialog();; } else { HMIRuntime.UI.SysFct.LogOff(); } I also tried the other way around, i.e. if (user !== " " or "DefaultUser" or === NULL. and just like Your but none was working. This is what worked: let user = Tags('@UserName').Read(); if (user == "Oper" \|\| user == "Tech" \|\| user == "Admin") { HMIRuntime.UI.SysFct.LogOff(); } else { HMIRuntime.UI.UserManagement.SysFct.ShowLoginDialog(); } so it looks like @username after logging out has a completely different value because e.g. in the simulation @UserName is Guest (comfort panel) and DefaulUser (basic panel) or Anonymouse. Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/5/2025 Posts: 16349 Rating: (1931)	Hello On a Unfied Panel you do not have to login to start the Runtime, you can start the RT without having a use logged in (this works different from the PC RT). In a Unified PC RT you always have to start a client login (also if you use a local client login) Since V19 the Simulation uses a default use for login, that the engineer do not have to login over and over again while testing. So the simulation is not like the real RT in this case. Bye Murof
