ComProfibus address problem

little_tiger Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Im using S5 IM308C profibus link with S7-317 CPU. There are 3 unit S5 PLC, two units already successful link data using linear address PXXX. Now the third PLC, the linear addressing already fully using, using in analog card and digital I/O. How to set it using paging address? I go to the master parameter for the addressing mode, it cannot be set. (refer to attachment file). What should I do to set the addressing in paging and not in linear addressing? Hello little_tiger you've already declared I/O modules withParea I/O addresses for the IM308C DP Slave which prohibits you from changing to page addressing mode. Easiest way is to delete the whole S5 IM308C DP Slave station, add a new one and set the addressing mode first. One more thing, if only all your P area related addresses are used, you can stillstay with linear addressing mode and use the Q area address range instead (or alternativelyFB192 via thethe DP window if need be). Thechoice is yours and chapter 6.1 of the ET 200 Distributed I/O System with IM 308-C and S5-95U contains all the details and important info on what to consider. I hope this helps
