Crane Hoist Application

Shahide043 Posts: 57 Rating: (0)	Hi Everybody, I am commissioning a Sinamics S-120 Drive with CU 320-2DP for Crane hoist application. Starting is smooth but at the time of stopping the load is descending down by few inches and then stops but not stopping at actual stoping point. Hence i need help to resolve the problem. Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hello Shahide043, From your description, the brake may not be activated completely to hold load against gravity before drive system stops providing enough current to provide motor torque. Recommend determining closing time for brake from manufacturer data specification to help estabish amount of time needed for brake to close fully, Best Regards, Deputy

If you increase the brake closing time delay in P1217 (Normally, no more than double is required), this gives the brake time to close before the drive shuts off. Regards, Graeme
