Getting any object in the runtime

bartibis Member Joined: 3/24/2020 Last visit: 5/14/2025 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a function that control the Faceplates that works like: for (let Object in Screen.Items) { Counter++; array_list[Counter - 1] = scr.Items[Object].Name; // + "\n"; } After that I'm recognizing objects by it names and control them. The functions works fine, but it's very slow in the first cycle, so People are frustrated that screens are loaded after ~5seconds. I thought that I can try to do it on global scripts or in the header (very slow startup after power up, but after that should be fine). But I can't find idea how to get list of all Objects in the project. Screen.Items works on single screen that is currently displayed and in UI.FindItem() i have to know every single object name. Have you got any suggestions?

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/4/2025 Posts: 16343 Rating: (1931)	Hello bartibis The Objects in the screens are only accessable if they are loaded, So you would have to open them in a screen window to get access to it (Or you have to know your objects). I think there is no other way than doing it in the backgound in an non visible Screen window (or outside the visible range). Or you use only faceplate in popups then you would only have to read out the opne Popups, this should work faster: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109810540 But then you do not see the FPs in your engineering screens...
