Hello. I will be working with a standard CPU that doesn't have PWM outputs on board like the compact PLC has. Do I have to add a technology module or is a regular digital output module enough to control a stepper motor with the internal positioning functions PWM. Hello, if you use SIMATIC S7-1500 or ET200 MP, you could use "S7-1500 TM PTO 4 (4-channel interface module for PTO (Pulse Train Output) - 6ES7 553-1AA00-0AB0) Delivery release: Equipment manual: Maybe it could also be possible to use a high feature DQ output wich you could use as PWM output...
