Shivaji Patil Posts: 140 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, I am facing a strange problem with one of the motor in a Line which is controlled by Masterdrive inclosed loop control. Motor is running and taking norml load but the I see the actual value of speed ru14 is varing toomuch by 10-12 rpm and if I touch the motor it gives knoking sound like ? I am sure what could be wrong ? I have checked Encoder,cable,coupling etc it is fine. can somebody suggest solution for this. Best regards,

I have checked bearings,fan etc it is O.k. Best regards, For the stationary Motor ID you will not need to disconnect. If you want to do the rotating then I would advise to disconnect from the gearbox. Does the motor make a knocking sound when disconnected from the gearbox? A way to eliminate to find out if it is the bearings or the drive would be to disconnect the gearbox and run the motor to full speed. Coast the drive by removing the OFF 2 signal. The motor will then spin down to a stop. During this time if the noise is still there then it is a problem in the motor.

Also, using the Drivemonitor trace function, you can observe very closely what is happening in the drive. You can monitor the encoder feedback, the drive setpoint, the actual speed and then you can see if the torques are swinging wildly and causing rotor knock. Another thing to check which most people take for granted is the motor shaft / encoder coupling, this can slip if it is anon standard coupling. If however, it is a taper fitting, then this is unlikely. Regards, Graeme

Shivaji Patil Posts: 140 Rating: (1)	Dear Sir, Thanks for suggestion. I have replaced both motor and invertor for this position in line. But still we have the problem . this motor is in line and speed correction is coming from the loadcell. I feel the loadimpact is something like pulsing load?Suddenly causing speed to drop littlebit and ,correction goes higher and it forms some kind of small oscillation ,It is not getting stable as expected. I am still trying to find the cause for this. Any suggestion for adjusting parameters in Simovis to meet such kind of load? Best regards,

I mean what kind of Input it is giving to drive? Does your motor have its encoder? and if yes is it connected with drive itself? I assume answer is yes then One thing to be checked is current of drive. Does it oscillate too when your speed oscillate? If oscillation is very high, optimisation on Load can help you to tune more Regards Devesh Vithani
