MM430 PRECHARGING CIRCUIT BURN REPEATEDLY

nishu Posts: 66 Rating: (1)	DEAR ALL, SINCE LAST SIX MONTHS I AM FACING PROBLEM OF PRECHARGING CIRCUIT BURN REPEATEDLY IN ONE OF MM430 INSTALL AT BLOWER APPLICATION. THE PROBLEM ARISE WHENEVER THERE IS SUDDENT POWER CUT IN OUR PLANT. FIRST TIME RCC6 CARD AND GPC1 CARD BURNED, WE REPLACE THESE CARD SECOND TIME AGAIN RCC6 CARD CARD BURNED, WE REPLACE THIS CARD THIRD TIME AGAIN RCC6 CARD, GPC1 CARD AND CAPACITOR OF POWER BLOCK BURNED, WE REPLACE THESE CARD FOURTH TIME TODAY THERE IS NO DISPLAY IN VFD, ON TESTING DC LINK VOLTAGE FOUND OK (620VDC) IT MAY PLEASE BE NOTED THAT ABOVE PROBLEM ARISE ONLY WHEN THERE IS SUDDENT POWER CUT IN OUR PLANT, KINDLY PROVIDE ME THE CAUSE AND SOLUTION OF ABOVE PROBLEM.

Is it correct please cross check. Also you have mentioned as above 45 Hz over curent fault is activated. What fault/alarm message is displayed above 45 Hz? Can you attach parameter sheet for further analysis? Assuming the data provided in attached file is correct, I feel that the drive capacity is less than the connected load. Please cross check. What mode is the drive operating in CT or VT (Constant or Variable Torque) Can you please attach a parameter set as DEEP asked, and also a diagram of how the unit is wired from the supply i.e. is there a line reactor or filter? Your cable length is well below the limit of 150ft for screened cable, or 300ft for unscreened cable. (By limit I mean before you need to start thinking about Output chokes or sinewave filters) Are you utilising the Braking capability of the drive? What OFF categories are you using, OFF2, OFF3?? Even when the power is cut, the Inertia of the load will be supplying the DC link, so these functions could be important. Regards, Graeme
