Hello After going through your drawing, I am assuming that the Encoder is connected to the SMC30 Encoder Module : SENSORMOD SMC30 6SL3055-0AA00-5CA1 The Technical description of SMC30 : SINAMICS SENSOR MODULE SMC30 INCREMENTAL ENCODER: TTL/HTL OR KOMBI ENCODER SSI WITH INCREMENTAL TRACES WITHOUT DRIVE-CLIQ CABLE So theoretically you should be able to use HTL as well as TTL encoders . However pl check the connection details in the attached description for HTL and TTL encoders. Also Pl change the Encoder type in the System configuration and download before connecting a TTL encoder in place of an HTL encoder , otherwise the 5V TTL encoder may ne damaged by 24V supply. Hope this helps Cheers Navnag AttachmentSMC30.pdf (459 Downloads) |

Hello ngoclan; HTL and TTL electronic circuitry have different voltage levels and 0-1 transition levels, so they cannot be used as simple one-to-one replacement to one another. Of course, this being electronic circuitry there are circuit modifications that can be added so that their output voltage levels are matched. But this requires a good understanding of electronics and of each particular circuit. For details on HTL/TTL circuits and adaptation circuitry between them , you could have a look at this webpage, for example. https://www.posital.com/en/products/communication-interface/incremental/incremental-encoders.php There are many more such posts on the web, if you want other points of view. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
