Saving Simulated Programs /Layouts in PLCSIM

nbk Posts: 197 Rating: (3)	Dear All, Could someone explain in simple words: What is the difference between saving a Layout (.lay files) & saving a simulated PLC program (.plc files) in S7PLCSIM? Can I save the layouts & Simulated PLC programs for each FC/FB individually (like a program has 8 FCs and so I want to save 8 different layouts or simulated program files? Regards

Chilly_Garfield Posts: 316 Rating: (37)	Hi nbk, The different between layout and simulated PLC is: - Layout is the user interface. For example: When you add an Output window and save your layout then you get this window again after loading the layout. - The simulated PLC is the actual PLC status while saving, including the values of the variablesof the siumlatedplc. So you can test something with plcsim safe the actual plc, restart your notebook and the you can continue with you simulation/test. The layout and simulated plcprogramm is refer to the plc and not to the blocks. Do you understand the difference?
