Am new for siemens Drive systems.But i hav already developed inhouse PLC projects,and also HMI projects too. Now like PLC there r Input and Output cards of Ana/Digi. there is programming in FC,FB and blocks. What is about Drive ? how to configure it for perticuler AC/DC Motor ? if drive is Freq controled then where/How those freq setpoints r given ? Also how to doaddressing [parameterisation] in Drive ? like plc" I "for input,"Q" for Output,M for flags. what is this PKW,PKZ ? please just define shortly by ur own language or give me any easiest link. Thanks in Advance.

Best thing to study for this is Operating Instructions: MICROMASTER 440 0,12 kW - 250 kW Although it is not short - but by studying this Manual, you can definitely do basic commissioning very easy and will understand all basic features for most of the drives Regards, Devesh Vithani

Thanks in Advance. IN DRIVE U COULD EXTEND THE DI/Os & AI/Os BUT IT DEPENDS ON THE DRIVE SERIES. MICROMASTER DOES NOT HAVE THE EXPANSION PROVISION BUT SINAMICS HAVE IT BY ADDING TM31 MODULE. IN SIEMENS DRIVES U CAN CREATE FUNCTION BLOCKS. AC DRIVE IS FOR AC MOTOR, DC DRIVE FOR DC MOTOR. U CAN NOT RUN A DC MOTOR BY AC DRIVE AND VICE VERSA. SO FOR CONFIGURING AC DRIVE JUST PUT MOTOR DATA, SELECT APPLICATION MACRO, SELECT V/F CURVE / VECTOR CONTROL, SELECT RUN SIGNAL SOURCE & FREQUENCY COMMAND SIGNAL SOURCE, SET RAMP TIMES AND RUN THE MOTOR. THERE ARE SOME ACCESSORIES LIKE BRAKE REGISTER, ENCODER TACHMETER BUT THESE THINGS DEPENDS ON UR APPLICATION. YOU WILL LEARN TIME BY TIME. FOR DC DRIVE JUST PUT MOTOR DATA, SELECT RUN SIGNAL SOURCE & DC VOLTAGE COMMAND SIGNAL SOURCE (FOR BOTH ARMATURE & FIELD), SET RAMP TIMES AND RUN THE MOTOR. IN AC DRIVE U CAN TAKE A 0-10VDC POT OR ANY 0/4mA - 20 mA SIGNAL SOURCE TO GIVE FREQ CMD.U CAN SET THE SCALES AND MIN-MAX FREQ. WHEN DRIVE TAKES THIS SIGNAL FROM INBUILT ADC THEN IT AUTOMATICALLY CALCULATES THE CORRESPONDING FREQUENCY DEPENDING ON THE RANGES. NORMALLY DIGITAL INPUT TAG ID DIx, DIGITAL OUTPUT TAG IS DOx, ANALOG INPUT TAG IS AIx, ANALOG OUPUT TAG IS AOx PKW IS FOR DIGITAL COMM. PKW=PARAMETER ID IF U USE DIGITAL COMMUNICATION THEN U CAN SAVE WIRES AND MATERIALS. U CAN GIVE SETPOINT BY UR PLC WITHOUT USING ANALOG CARD, U CAN ACCESS ALL DRIVE DATA WITHOUT USING DOs & AOs.
