Hi,

I want to use an external button to trigger the start/stop button of a trend control. However , I'm having trouble using the FireCommand function. I found that the controlID for the Start/Stop is 19 so I tried using this :

Screen.Items("Trend control_1").FireCommand(19,false);

But it doesn't seem to work.

I believe this needs to be published in the WinCC Unified Systems. 

Additionally, please take a look at this forum post.

I think you can use custom ID，I test code，it is OK!

I tried using a custom ID as suggested but it didn't work.

Concerning the runtime version, I'm using a TIA Portal V18 (Update 5) WinCC Runtime and a WinCC Unified PC RT.
