Actually I want to measure RPM upto 1,20,000does this CPU supportthis frquency.I calculatedfrequency as below: Frequency of CPU 30KHz means 30000 pulses per second, so it will count upto 1/30000 (i.e 0.00003) Our requirement 1,20,000 means 2000 pulses per sec, means 1/2000 (i.e. 0.0005) Does this calculation is ok? Waiting for reply. Thank You

naah Posts: 76 Rating: (8)	In measuring frequency, the sampling frequency must be minimum 2 times faster than measuring signal. It means, if the maximum frequency is 30KHz, it can measure maximum 15KHz signal. You should also consider the duty cycle of the signal too. That means, the pulse width must not be shorter than half of the max frequency. For this case, pulse width of signal(High or Low) must not be shorter than 66 micro seconds.
