PLC 315-2 PN/DP with MODBUS/TCP

malbec Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	I want to use a non-Siemens panel to communicate with a 315-2 PN/DP PLC. Can this PLC have MODBUS/TCP communication? Is there another way to communicate between a panel that doesn't have Profibus or Profinet and the PLC?

malbec Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	I know that in the WimCC flexible, When I configure a tag I give the exact address in the PLC to it (for example: DB5.DBW2). When I define the communication as IP, what protocol does it uses? Can I do it with a panel that doesn't support WinCC? Is there somewhere I can see how this protocol works?

Have a look at this FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/33118723 if you want to know your possibilities how you can connect your panel to a SIEMENS PLC perhaps have a first try at the manufacturers (of your panel) site.
