munarza Posts: 30 Rating: (1)	Hello, we have a machine that is controlled by a 840Di and there are four gear stages. could anyone know about how can automatic gear changing done on this machine because i know that sinumerik allows five gear stages but in axis datablock there are 3 stages enabled ( db3yy.dbx82.0, dbx82.1 dbx82.2 ). How can i program the fourth gear stage because there is no automatic gear request like 82.0, 82.1 , 82.2 ... Could anyone help on this matter it will be very precious. thanks

By programming M40 You can select the automatic gear change By programming M41...M45 You can select therequested gear changemanualy Before You can use the gear change anywayYou have to activate the gear step change by - MD 35010 GEAR_STEP_CHANGE_ENABLE and - You have to set the corresponding data for gear step speed limitations $MA_GEAR_STEP_MAX_VELO and $MA_GEAR_STEP_MIN_VELO. hope that helps CNC600
