My problem is cause I have distributed I/O's over Profibus network and I want to test the parts of the machine when those aren't assembly like a unit, that means some DP from my network will miss, and I don't want to load the hardware configuration for every part separatly. I want to load the HW configuration one time and after that to switch from HMI which part I'll test. It's that possible? or there is a method to simulate the DP..? I don't know maybe u have a better ideea the I had. Thanks

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	It's quite difficult to simulate DP-slave itself, but what can you do: DownloadwholeHWconfig. DisablemissingnodesbymeansofSFC12. Simulate DP-master's inputs (if you use MS or DX communications) - for example by reading not inputs but bit memory (or any other simulating method)

But i try to use SFC12 and I succeed to deactivate a DP wich is missing from the profibus network and for the LADDR param.I put the Diagnostic Address of the DP which was deactivated. Another problem is: when I try to activate the same DP which was deactivated , the job it's still active and the DP it's still deactivated, the DP is active just after I reset the CPU, that could be because I don't have the DP module physical on the network..?

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	Ok, i see now. Just PA is one of PROFIBUS standarts for explosive areas. If docs youcan read, that before activating new job you must wait until first one finishes. Is deactivation successefull?

Andoo Regular Member Joined: 10/15/2008 Last visit: 8/5/2025 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	the reactivation i'm not sure if it's working ok, because the LED behavior it's the same like the one for deactivation, and that before i made a restart of cpu, after restart the behavior of LED is like a got some profibus errors, that's mean my DP module is active but is missing

Like u can see on the attach file I use CPU315 2-DP, on the profibus network i have a DP with PA 15. Attachment HW picture.JPG (505 Downloads)
