Using SD reader seperately

Joe K. Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'll apologize in advance for my ignorance. I have been working with the s7-300 for only a few days (my first experience with plc's at all.) I am trying to figure out if I am able to load information directly into anmmc from a pc via anmmc reader and then insert it into the s7-300 cpu. Basically I would like to develope from my desk at work and then bring it out to the plc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You need a special SIMATIC card reader or a PG. If you try to write a S7 - MMC with a windows - card reader, the MMC will be damaged and not usable for S7 anymore.

tomearp Posts: 51 Rating: (3)	if you want to develop off-site you can use PLC SIM in step 7 to simulate inputs on a virtual CPU the manual for PLC SIM is here, should help you get started :)
