IOT2050 setup

I downloaded the example image from the Siemens website: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/nl/en/view/109741799 IOT2050_Example_Image_V1.1.1.zip (658,6 MB) With Win32 Disk imager I flashed the SD card, I plugged the SD card into the gateway, and powered it on but the STAT light is burning red after 10 seconds. And I’m not able to ping 192.168.200.1 on X2 and X1. In the past I did some projects with the IOT2040, and flashed the SD-card with the 2040 example image (same SD card) the same way. This works fine. Am I missing a step in the process, and what do I need to do to get the IOT2050 working? Thank you in advance Alex

The red STAT LED displays that no bootable image could be found. Have you tried reboot several times ort to use another SD card? We know that some SD card behave strangely. Best regards!

AlexGooi Joined: 3/31/2022 Last visit: 8/1/2023 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi, The serial number is: 1p6ES7-0BA00-0YA2 sV-P6hn9252 The FS is 02 06.2022 I have tired another SD card 1 industrial grade (SLC 4GB) these ones we are also using for the IOT-gateway 2040, I also tried a consumer card of 32-GB. but both cards are giving the same result. I also tried to connect a UART serial line to check the boot sequence but this diddn't show any form of life. Best regards Alex.

bergmanu Platinum Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 4/24/2025 Posts: 3345 Rating: (382)	Hi, the FS:02 of the IOT2050 Basic (6ES7-0BA00-0YA2) can't run the Example Image V1.1.1. You need to use V1.2.2, which can be found on the same download page. But nevertheless you should see some output with a connected UART cable. Did you connect it in a wrong way maybe? Best regards!
