sk sk Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hi All I'm tasked to come up with the application as below using LOGO, but i have no prior knowledge. I have 5 push buttons to control the speed of a motor. Example 1st pushbutton when press will run the motor at 20% speed. 2nd button pressed to run the motor at 40% speed, 3rd button at 60%, 4th button at 80% and 5th button at 100%. Is this able to implement using LOGO? I think i will need a variable speed drive to control the speed of the motor. So how do i send the signal out to the variable speed drive to run at what percentage of the motor? Is this an anolog or digital output from the LOG to the drive ? Pardon my ignorance. ANy help is much appreciated Thanks

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, 1. Use drive Inverter such as a Siemens Sinamics with an analoge input. At the LOGO! you need an analoge output modul. In the LOGO! program use the analog Multiplexer to change the analog output. 2. Use drive inverter with digital input to chanche the speed. In the LOGO! program chanch outputs so the drive change the speed as you need. I hope this helps. regards helmut

The pushbuttons are digital inputs, while i need the signal to the drive is analog outputs, how do i wire them in softcomfort? I apologise for my ignorance. Thanks

Fux Posts: 661 Rating: (123)	Hello sk sk, here is an example. Withone multiplexer you can give out 4 different analog values. Therefore you have to use a second multiplexer. With one of the pushbuttons youenable/disablethe output value (push once -> e.g. 40%, push again -> off). If you push another pushbutton, the value changes. I hope this helps.
