Out Control Posts: 204 Rating: (1)	Dears I used cpu 1214 and KTP 600 when I entered data from KTP it's written to cpu but after power off and on I didn't found my data on KTP or cpu . why i get my data after power off/on . Best regards

Best regards Hello Out Control, Which memory range you are using? Is it Bit Memory or Data Block Memory? Total of 2048 bytes can be retained during power off till CPU 1214C. Accessing the data of S7-1200/ CPU memory

poth_elec Advanced Member Joined: 2/3/2009 Last visit: 6/23/2025 Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	I suggest to use data block and select retentive option (next to the value) for each bit you want, because in bit memory you can set as rentive 2048 bits but the counting starts from byte 0 or place the bit which you want to set as retentive- first- in bit memory area and set how much bit you want to set as retentive from the option on the top of the PLC tags Window.

Hello poth_elec, Pl consider the below excerpt from the S7-1200 System Manual (04/2012) this when you create a DB with "Optimized or Standard" Block access. – If you select "Optimized" when you create the DB, you can set the retentive state for each individual tag. – If you select "Standard - compatible with S7-300/400" when you create the DB, the retentive-state setting applies to all tags of the DB; either all tags are retentive or no tag is retentive.
