s7400 Blinking LED

Center Automation Joined: 10/29/2024 Last visit: 7/3/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone I have just bought an S7 400 (6ES7417-5HT06-0AB0 V6010 ). When I start it up, after a while all the LEDs start to turn on and off. Sometimes this problem occurs after turning it off and on, and sometimes this problem occurs after turning it on and ending the test mode. I updated its firmware but still the problem is not solved.

Operating system updates V6 CPU412-5H PN/DP, CPU414-5H PN/DP, CPU416-5H PN/DP, CPU417-5H PN/DP

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 8/31/2025 Posts: 6874 Rating: (1368)	Dear users, There are many reasons for blinking LEDs such as EMC , Grounding , problems with firmware , defective CPU or problems related to accessories. The situation would be a bit complex in H CPUs. The best way to test the CPU would be a solo / redundant function test in a system workshop while all accessories and peripheral items are removed. If the problem persist in a LAB test conditions , possibly the CPU is defective. Kind regards, hdhosseini
