Hi dear Siemens experts,

I want to create a global script with a parameter that contains a screen name (type HMIScreen).

I want to count and list all screen windows in the HMIScreen passed as a parameter. From what i read here (Application), the property Screen.Windows returns a list of all screen windows from the HMIScreen. What I can't find is how to use this list.

Someone can explain to me how to do it?

I will add some context on what I want to achieve.

So far, I can load my secondary screen into ScreenWindow1 with no problem. What I want to achieve is to create a global function which can load a screen into ScreenWindow2, ScreenWindow3, etc... by clicking on one of the button on the left (screen to load are linked to only one button) I'd like to call the global function from the Release event of the buttons.

I don't know if that is possible?

I can do it the "hard" way, but I want a script which can be reused easily for further developments.

A button (ie a screen) is not linked to one screen window. It can be loaded into any of the screen window available on the screen. Plus, since I will have more buttons (ie more screens) to potentially load than screen windows, I need to be able to remove a loaded screen by clicking on the button again.

I managed to do what I wanted. I will post the script here in case someone wants to do the same.

For a little bit explanation, I use “dump” screen to make the screen windows “invisible” in the second HMIScreen.

I have one last question though :) when I use this function, the parameters are displayed as optional and the type is not defined.

Is there a way to force the input and the type (string) of the input parameters?

Well, after doing researches, it seems impossible to force input and type…
