Chip_plc Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a project for monitoring an unwinder equipment . I have to measure and display the speed (RPM) and length (Meters) of the paper passed through the equipment. When counter reaches and exceeds the maximum arithmetic value I have to do a trick to display the "real" counter. As a trigger I intend to use an inductive sensor for counting the revolutions of a drum, each rotation means 0.3 meters in lenth. I read the existing projects solutions but, somehow, I didn't manage to mix both speed and length... Thanks.

Chip_plc Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Sorry for the late repply. At the unwinder exit, the paper (continuous roll) is driven synchronously by a drum, whose rotations are detected by an inductive sensor. There are maximum 3.5 revolutions per second. During theese 3.5 revolutions, 10 meter of paper come out from the unwinder. I have to display curent RPM and total length of paper coming out (starting from reset) even if the total length reaches 100.000 meter.
