TIA Portal and Scout TIA

BeppeConti Experienced Member Joined: 7/22/2014 Last visit: 7/29/2025 Posts: 68 Rating: (2)	Siemens has recently released TIA Portal V16 which requires Scout TIA V5.4 SP1 (available only from May 2020). Why don't they release all the software together? If I have a project with integrated PLC and Simotion do I have to wait for May to switch to the TIA V16?

Having already finished and running project it's wise to stay with the development tools you already have.
