Dear all,

in alarmcontrol of wincc there is a column named status. there are three symbols in status. symbol + means alarm coming, symbol - alarm went, but there is a symbol * which we do not know what is its meaning. Appreciate if anyone help what is meaning of * in status of alarm control and document related to this topic.

Your answer helped me a lot and caused me search about it and find all about how to configure it in alarm messaging of Wincc. But the thing is that when we acknowledge a message in message list immediately alarm goes to archive and does not stay in message list. But in one weird case there was couple of alarms in message list with acknowledged status. if somebody acknowledged them before those alarms should not be in alarm list anymore but why those were there still. I have to mention that couple of other things happened for example an alarm indicating low speed of machine while everything was normal in that time. I do not know this strange things has happened for you before i.e. malfunction of Wincc or PLC ?
