Automation License Manager floating licence: key shows 0 Number of license

bcpac Member Joined: 12/16/2021 Last visit: 9/1/2025 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, Have floating license loaded on PC, C drive. Trying to transfer back to USB license thumb drive. Can't transfer as detail message says, "KEY has License key and License number". but key shows 0 Number of license. Where as computer drive C, shows all sam information except is shows 1 Number of license. Anyway to delete License number and License key form USB thumb drive, to allow transfer of floating key. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Automation License Manager sinutrain floating licence.

The duplicate license that has a 0 count is a ghost. You can safely delete the ghost license if you are 100% sure that the license on the disk is in a working condition. It will not be possible to transfer the healthy license if a ghost license is already in that location. How to handle the ghost license is not documented somewhere yet, as far as I know. If you have doubt, create a support request. It is possible to use the offline license transfer to put the license onto your PC. Keep this idea in reserve. Try the ideas from the above link first. The most important of those steps is the installation of the newest ALM software.
