I am designing an electrical substation SCADA using SICAM PAS and SIMATIC WinCC.

I have managed to build the whole network, get all the data I need and make commands through WinCC using the pre-configured blocks for Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors and Earth Switches of Graphic Designer. 

However, I want to build a script in C or Visual Basic, which can create a sequence of events. These events will contain the commands of some circuit breakers and the showing some messages on screen for the SCADA operator.

However, I cannot find a way to do this easily by configuring the events of clicking a button.

I tried to change the value of my command variable, but although I tried all the available extensions of my command variable name nothing worked.

The next thing I did, was to search the way the pre-configured buttons work and I saw that they use a C script named "PAS_CommandExecute_V800". I checked this script but I was not able to build a script that could work.

To summarize, I want to press a button and do the following things:

1. Open field 1 by using the command of open.

2. Close field 2 by using its command close.

3. If everything goes as desired print a message of successful operation.

If anyone could help I would be obliged.

Probably I did not describe what I want correctly.

I want in one script, that will begin after the click of a button, to execute the commands I want. I used the simple round button available in the Library of WinCC. The command tags, when transferred from SICAM PAS to WinCC have several extensions, among others ".RTCmd", ".Value", ".Validity" etc. I tried to change the ".Value" extension of the command tags in order to trigger the command, but it did not work. I tried to change the value of all the remaining extensions of the command tag but this did not change the value of the command tag either (checked it in SICAM Value Viewer).

When I checked the preconfigured blocks for watching the position of a switch (ON/OFF) and sending the command to the switch, I saw that this block uses a C script function, named "PAS_CommandExecute_V800". However, I was not able to use this function inside my script because I do not know how to.

Sry question, are you familiar with C syntax, f.ex. with malloc? What I think about this function, it sets some external Tag to ON/OFF probably, but this is only after quick look. Will look at this short later...

Hello Tsil,

SICAM PAS is an AddOn to WinCC, which I do not know very well.

But if you have command tags, with extensions like ".RTCmd", ".Value", ".Validity" etc.
I think, this are member-tags of a structure, and the complete tagname is like "xxxx.Value".
Now it depends, where you would like to set these tags.
Inside a picturewindow (or Faceplate) usually the tagprefix (xxxx) is already set,
and you need only to use the member-name.
But if you are not inside a picturewindow, you need to use the complete name (i.e. "xxxx.Value").

The other question is, do these elements already exist (i.e. created by SICAM) ?
Or would you like to use this function for other own elements ?
Then you have to create the structure-tags yourself.

2. Those elements already exist. They are created inside SICAM and then loaded to WinCC.
3. So you suggest I should call the function PAS_CommandExecute_V800 that I uploaded earlier in a text file and use as variables the name of my tags?

You can use "PAS_Command_Integer_V500(TagName,Value,value type,duration)".

You can find this command in  left pane in C Edit Action window  under : Project Functions > SicamPas > Command.

Parameters:

TagName : command Tag name with extension .value

Value: 1 for Open, 2 for close.

Value type: 15 for persistence command.

Duration: 1 , in second or what duration you want in seconds.

create a button and in mouse event choose C action and insert:

If (condition ) true

PAS_Command_Integer_V500("Tag1.Value",2,15,1); // close (On) command

PAS_Command_Integer_V500("Tag2.Value",1,15,1); // open (Off) command

End

 Don't forget the double quotation (" ") before and after the tag name if you inserted it directly in the PAS_Command syntax .

For the message you can assign the command tag to alarm logging in Sicam PAS and choose Sicam Message for command tag in Alarm logging in Wincc. By this when you run the command in Wincc you see in the Event List positive confirmation if the command executed successfully and negative confirmation if command not executed successfully.

Or you can use Popup window for message .
