Also the type of interface must be known to give you a correct answer. The two CPUs you mention support Profibus (configure the MPI/DP interface for Profibus). You could now usea HMI with Profibus interface. You put them all, CPUs and HMI)in one Step7 project. In Netpro you define starting from the HMI an S7 connection to each CPU.

If the tool is installed on a programming running Step7, you can run integrated with Step7. This means that for instance you can place the HMI in your Step7 project where aso the CPUs are configured. Now open the MP277 object, WinCC Flexible opensand in the tab connections WinCC Flexible will normally add connections to your CPUs, and if not you can easily add them by browsing the project. If one of CPUs is turned off there is receiving data from the other CPU only. How do you configure a connection between WinCC flexible Runtime (PC/Panel) and a SIMATIC S7-300/S7400 via PROFIBUS/MPI? best regards, Hristo Mihalev
