I am new to the S7-1200, and was hoping someone could help me out.  In the past, I've been using the S7-200 with Step-7.

I was hoping someone could show me an example.

I am trying to do something where if my input, let's say I0.0 (or %I0.0 in this case), it enables a one minute timer (which resets).  Each time the timer reaches a minute, it counts up.  The timer will reset at 60.

In Step-7, I used to be able to do an input with a subroutine.  In the subroutine, I would use MOV_W and move 0 to a timer, let's sat T37.  Then I'd put a "negative" transition and set the timer in "x" ms.

If someone could show me an example that would be great.  I am not sure if I should use FB, FC, or OB -- what's equivalent to a subroutine?  Also, what kind of timer do I use?

If someone can help me, it would be very appreciated!

you can use ob,fb or fc.

fc is equal to subroutine.

Another easier way and accurite as well is to define a Time of Day interrupt.

And then inside that OB, write the code that you would like to be executed every minute.

 What you need to do is very straight forward and with your background you will figure out pretty quick

Use IEC TON timer and use the help menu.

OOOOH S7-1200.

My solution will work only for S7-300/400.

Is there a list or somewhere in the manual that shows data types?  I am used to using VW for HMI displaying (and scaling), and also used to using V400.0 (example) for things like a button on my HMI.  What would it be for the S7-1200?
