Displaying a Hex Number in textbox on HMI

erik_smith67 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I'm working with TIA Portal V18 upd3 and WinCC Unified. I am new to TIA portal and have a hex number being stored in a LWord datatype and am trying to display the hex number in a textbox on my HMI. It seems the textbox won't simply display the LWord has the hex number. For example, the LWord is 16#E008_016D_66D0_8BB8 but is being display on HMI as 16143154433697549240. What can I do to make the textbox display the hex number as shown abvoe? Thanks

However, you would have to use an IO field instead of a text box. But for outputting some values, this will be the recommended screen element to use. Of course, the appearance will be different, but doing it with a text box requires a little more effort. Kind regards Stefan
