What is the safety address that needs to be set on back of the F-safety module.

 

It must be the same F-adress that you are using in HW-Config.

Hm, I cannot find any switches on the module!

Besides, the DIP switches on the modules that have them seems to set the "destination address" (as far as i can understand the menuals), while diagnostic buffer is reporting the "source address" issue.

But dont mind the above, I found the solution.

Well, i finally found some useful information regarding ET200SP failsafe modules and the profisafe addresses:

On page 33,39,48 there is some useful information about two types of profisafe addresses. Type 1 has DIP switch for setting a destination address, and type2 is configured via STEP7 software. My modules dont have DIP switches, so they are of type 2!

(You basically assign address to F-I/O modules by going online in HW config and selecting an option "Assign F target address" by right clicking on failsafe I/O). Be carefull to click directly on failsafe input/output modules listed below and NOT on ET200SP.Procedure is described on pages 51,52,53.

The solution works for me. 

Right click the online F module and  click "Name F Addresses". It will open window "Assign F destination address".

 If you have distributed safety and F-configuration pack installed, all you need to do is right click on the safety IO module in the HW config and select assing safety address. You need to be online to the PLC to do this.
