Exporting recipes to PLC

DL4321 Joined: 11/14/2022 Last visit: 2/20/2025 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hey, I'm having a project in which I'm using 3 HMIs (KTP700) and one S7 1200. Each of the HMIs has 1 recipe with the 2 same elements and 12 data records. As of right now everything is identical, but under testing/simulation phase i noticed that data records that get created on the HMI itself (for example by an operator) would get lost if anything happens to the HMI, or if someone does a "download to device" towards the HMI. Those data records don't show in the projekt either, when I'm online. So i was wondering how to correctly export all potentially new data records to the PLC, so i can then import those on all 3 HMIs. In that case i would have a backup of them on the PLC and also have all HMIs synchronized. I have looked up a couple of guides and videos, but i was not sure which one/which way would fit to my situation. Would the right way be to go with the "RecipeExport" FB? .

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/12/2025 Posts: 16409 Rating: (1935)	Hello there is an example for a synchronisation between HMIs: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109736272 But Basic Panels have limited functionality compared to Comfort Panels. You can also export the datarecords with systemfunction to USB device and then import again in your tial portal project in the recipe editor. Or do a Backup with Prosave. There are a few ways to synchronize and/or backup your recipe data. Bye Murof
