F-Configuration Pack Version Dependency

fschwa Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Hi, we have a version problem here with our safety programme and HW config. Safety cannot be generated anymore and HW can only be opened read-only. The error message says, that we need a newer version of F-Configuration Pack to open the HW. So, it turns out, the guy who worked on that line was using a newer version (SP11) and now we cannot use the one our customer dictates anymore (SP9). Question: Is it possible to regenerate and/or reconfigure the current version (created with SP11) in a way that it is again fine to work on it with SP9? Thank you for any advice. :) Regards

Butonly if there areno newer modules in this project (newer than your version of F-config Pack) !!! Butit also should be no problem to upgrade because you do not have to pay forthe service pack->available herehttp://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/15208817 Regards !

fschwa Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Hi Hammy, thank you for your answer. Well, it is a problem to install SP11 because our customer does not allow it. They have several thousand installations and maintain a certain collection of versions and upgrade this collection every two years or so. I now "fixed" the issue by configuring the 04 version in HW config. According to the Siemens product information, the 05 version is compatible to the 04 one, so it works like a charm. :) In the meantime, the customer decided that they can upgrade their setup so in a few weeks the problem will go away by itself. :) Thanks again and regards fschwa
