Hi All, I have a new MM440 and I have commissioned it as required with the relevant parameters. I get a fault F0022 when the speed is reduced via analog input to drive. to test whether if the MM440 has completely faulted I tried the following: - recommissioned the drive after factory reset. - enabled P0700 and P1000to be controlled from the BOP. - P1237 is enabled to 50% of duty cycle - drive can run when set a frequency of 5hz from the BOP - as soon as I stop the drive from the BOP I get the fault F0022 up. - changed (increased)the ramp down time but still get the fault up. - the only thing I noticed that was unusual was that I get a voltage across the braking resistor when the motor is not running - not sure if this indicates whether the drive has faulted as I checked for voltage across another drive on a similar system and did nothave any voltage across the braking resistor. - checked parameter P1240 which is default 1 and same as per parameters from the system vendor. i also checked with all the possible remedies given from Siemens and found the fault to besporadic and not permanent. this fault comes up when I stop the drive. can anyone help me whether the inverter has faulted? I surely can run the drive and i'm also concerned with the voltage across the braking resistor when the drive (motor)is not running. the system is a wire straighting system and the MM440 installed is for a wire decoiler motor. (system was running with previous MM440) thanks for your help in advance Splitted from MM440 Tripped with F022. |

Normally you will get voltage across breaking resistor terminal of drive if you have not connected Breaking Resister.. Just a small basic check to be done.. Check your resistor value and that too from the drive end so that you can also make sure that your cable is OK.. Also have a look at following discussion made earlier in this Forum.. https://www.automation.siemens.com/tf/WW/en/Posts/41667 Regards, Devesh Vithani |
