Hello Dear all,

I have a circle in my HMI screen. i assigned a boolean tag to it and also i enabled the flash function for the tag. 

When the tag became set, the circle flashing starts. but the flash speed is very low. 

May anyone tell me that, is there an option (in TIA Portal) to set the flash speed?

Hello.

The On-Off blinking speed you speak of cannot be adjusted.

Which HMI type do you have? Perhaps a script running on a Comfort HMI can help you.

If you need a special cycle you could also use the visibility Animation and toggle the Trigger Tag in the PLC using a clockmemory or using timers.

I have found the update rate of the PLC tags are inconsistent or the influence of the PLC cycle is too much. IMO a pulse generated from the PLC is not helpful.

Is it possible to generate such a pulse internal (script) to the HMI? Does the Siemens Comfort HMI scripts handle time / timers?

You are asking a nicely  "naughty"  question.

You have a BASIC version HMI. You use the "Professional" version (read: license) of WinCC to program it. Now it becomes a little confusing now. The version of the engineering software does not give the HMI advance / extra functions.

The same applies for the S7-1200. The functionality of the S7-1200 is the same regardless if using "Basic" or "Professional" versions (read: license) of Step7 (TIA Portal).

Perhaps it would help to say you have this function on SCADA and not on an HMI?
