increasing/decreasing of function

For now I have temperatrue that oscilates in some mean value. I need to find this mean value and check how fast it rises/falls. Lets say the time range should be 1minute, the best ifmodified. I was thinking about pid controller to set parameters for derivative action only. Do you think it gives me the result of functionmonoticity? What about that mean value? Adding some integral parameter fullfils my requirements? best regards.

You can use your stop watch to find fow fast it goes up/down. By the way what is the Laplace Transform of your system. More about PID's ishere. Regards

I haven't calculated laplace yet and not sure if it helps me a lot. In attachement I am giving you idea of my problem. u1- thats a fuel for burning chamber. More or less I can make an assumption the more fuel i give the hgher temeprature it reaches. However it shouldn't be given to quick or the flame is going to be extingiushed T1 - measured temperature in burninig chamber. Can reach not moe that 1000degC T2 - measured temperature in moxing chamber. u2 - speed of vfd that gives product for drying. The faster it goes the more product fall into to chamber. U2 consist of amount of product and its hummidity. y - output temperature of produkt after drying. setpoint about 50degreeC. Can reach not more that 70 degreeC T1 depands on u1. There is about 2minutes trasnport delay T2 depands on T1 y depands on abount and hummidity of product u2 and temperature T1. transport delay from the beginning to the end of drying chamber is about 15 minutes I am not sure if I should try with PID loop control or try fuzzy control. But for fuzzy logic i need rise/fall speed of temperatures. Attachment chambers.jpg (132 Downloads)

But for fuzzy logic i need rise/fall speed of temperatures. Hello , By mentioning " rise/fall speed of temperatures"you may mean slope of Temperature variable against time.Am I right? For this you can use OB3X "cyclic interrupts" with constant time between consecutive block call .Keep difference of temperature of 2 calls and divide it by constant time between calls.This time is determined in HW.Config.At the end of each block execution,save current temperature in an auxiliary memory.
