How can one write a dbx9.7 coil contact (who of course open the db via a previously auf / opn, Like this, it was in step 7 v5.5.

You don't need to call first.  You are probably making this more complicated than it has to be.

Maybe no one understands what you are trying to do.  Can you show your old Step7 code?

You shall use ---(OPN)  Open Data Block: DB or DI instruction.

In TIA the former AUF is OPN.

for Instance DB it is OPNDI

you find it in Basic Instructions -> STL mnemonic -> Data Blocks
